I’m a MERF not a TERF And even then as a wife, mother and grandmama I’m male inclusionary when it’s appropriate. But we definitely want to include trans-identifying females, even while they don’t want us to. At some point they’ll come back to femaleness - not “femininity” - even if it’s only in their dotage when they can’t remember ever transitioning and therefore complain about their condition.
The way the term is used, it's not particularly meaningful; even the "RF" part doesn't always apply, as it tends to be used (by supporters and opponents alike) to denote anybody disagreeing with gender ideology, even if they are not radical feminists (or even any sort of feminist).
We DO need 'trans' excluding spaces. I met a fellow autistic woman who'd 'trans-ed', she was really nice, completely normal autistic lass. Except for the line of scarring across her chest as thick as a finger. It set off my gender issues so badly I didn't sleep for three days, and stuff I'd totally forgotten came out and yelled at me. I'm now convinced that women who categorically DO NOT (unironically) identify as anything need space away from the 'cis' 'trans' + 45 million others, cos the whole cult is damaging.
Nothing wrong with "TERF" if you take it to mean, as I always have, that the 'T' stands for the cult of Transgenderism itself, not individuals like the deluded young girls who have been groomed into the cult.
We also need the "Radical" because there are so many champagne socialists calling themselves "feminists" - men and women - who abandon any woman who doesn't fit their political agenda. A RF stands for all women, wherever in the world they are persecuted, by whom, by any method, forever.

Exactly - trans-identified females might not like being included with ‘women’ at the moment, but they are.

Yes - it’s used for some people who absolutely aren’t feminist at all. In fact Posie Parker aka Kellie-Jay has said that she isn’t a feminist.
